Kosovo Serbia Policy Advocacy Group Launched the Project ‘Promoting and Communicating Benefits of the Kosovo-Serbia EU Facilitated Dialogue’

7 December 2018 – The first Steering Committee for the launch of the new project ‘Promoting and Communicating Benefits of the Kosovo-Serbia EU Facilitated Dialogue’ by the Kosovo Serbia Policy Advocacy Group consortium was held to align the project implementation between consortium partners. The project is funded by the European Union and Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The objective is to communicate the benefits of the technical dialogue on the normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia to the wider public.

During a two day steering committee meeting organised by project implementation leader Balkan Policy Research Group, the leaders of NGO partners, project management team and members of partner organisations detailed the implementation plan, set the activities agenda and strengthened the cohesion and coordination.

The project foresees a number of communication and outreach activities that aim to disseminate and promote the benefits of the technical dialogue, engage in peer-to-peer cooperationresearch citizens’ perceptions, and engage people at the local level to stimulate debate and enhance understanding.

The Kosovo Serbia Policy Advocacy Group was established in early 2018, as a tool to challenge the narratives at the society level and help policymakers to make the agreements in a more transparent manner. The Consortium is comprised of eight likeminded NGOs: Balkans Policy Research Group (BPRG), Democracy for Development Institute (D4D), Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) and NGO AKTIV from Kosovo, and Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence (BFPE), Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP), European Movement in Serbia (EMinS) and Lawyers Committee for Human Rights (YUCOM) from Serbia.

This activity was financially supported by the Norwegian Embassy in Kosovo and European Union. The content derived from the meeting is the sole responsibility of Kosovo-Serbia Policy Advocacy Group Consortium and can in no way be taken to reflect the views of the Norwegian Embassy in Kosovo and European Union.
